My Journey to becoming a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist

In my thirties I undertook a degree in psychology with the Open University. At that time, balancing a career in Central Government and raising a family as a single parent made it untenable for me to dive into a new career. However, my curiosity about the mind and human behaviour always stayed with me.

Like many, I’ve faced challenges with stress, overthinking, and anxiety. Over the years, I explored various therapies, but only found short-term relief. When I discovered Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) combined with Hypnotherapy, it was transformative. This approach didn’t just provide temporary fixes—it rewired my thinking, leading to lasting change.

After taking voluntary redundancy and with my children off my hands to having flown the nest,, I decided to follow my passion. I chose to become qualified in the therapies that had been so successful in helping me. Now, I’m fully trained and committed to helping others overcome life’s challenges, just as I did.
